Carteret Waterfront Park, Marina, and Pier Extension
Project Features:
- Led the multi-year redevelopment of the Borough of Carteret’s waterfront, transforming a former industrial site into a vibrant public destination.
- Planned, designed, and implemented multiple phases of waterfront improvements, including the Waterfront Promenade, public boat launch, recreation park amenities, and the Carteret Recreation Pier.
- Designed and constructed the 700-foot Carteret Recreation Pier to support passive recreation and function as a future breakwater for marina operations.
- Culminated the Borough’s long-term vision with the construction of a municipal marina on a remediated industrial site.
- Delivered a 184-slip marina featuring floating concrete docks, finger piers, wave attenuators, and steel sheet wave screens to reduce wind- and vessel-generated wave action along the Arthur Kill.
- Provided safe land-to-water access via multiple access piers and integrated marina safety and operational appurtenances.
- Completed upland site improvements including a 187-space parking area, decorative stamped and color-coated asphalt walkways, and supporting site amenities.
- Advanced the latest phase of the ongoing Carteret Waterfront Improvement Program, reinforcing the Borough’s vision for a future marina and transit-oriented waterfront village.
