Artheon provided construction management and REI services for the oversight for the project unique combination of MPT which include NJDOT Rt.440 long term shoulder closure, NJTA lane closure procedures and Coast Guard mandated Marine MPT. Scope includes overview of installation of cofferdams at three marine locations (Piers), which include 255 pairs of Type ZZ14-700, 50-foot-long steel sheet piles, with two different cofferdams cantilever cofferdam system with tremie concreting as well as a braced cofferdam system with timber matt flooring due to USACE Fill volume restrictions, disposable of regulated materials.

Improvements to Main Street & Woodbridge Center Drive

Project Features:
  • Eliminated the traffic signal at the intersection of Main Street and Woodbridge Center Drive by replacing the at-grade intersection with a grade-separated interchange, thereby removing opposing traffic movements.
  • Upgraded the approach roadways to state-of-the-art design standards, including the addition of new, dedicated turning lanes.
  • Substantially reduced the frequency and severity of traffic accidents at the convergence of Main Street and Woodbridge Center Drive through improved geometry and traffic operations.
  • Provided pedestrian-friendly facilities throughout the project area to enhance safety, accessibility, and multimodal connectivity.
